Figures 15: The National Film Board of Canada Animation Stand 46 with the "Animaster" Computer Control System

Design and Installation of hardware and software for a computer control system, “The Animaster”, with 10 stepper motors to fully automate an old Animation Stand. This robotic system along with a very sophisticated animation simulation package running on the Apple Macintosh from Intégration in Montréal, Canada shortens extensively the time required to generate an animation film. It also reduces the manpower time required to manually shoot the film, and allow for very fast editing, modifications, additions, re-shooting and video simulations of the final product.
